The Bicentennial Lecture Series is pleased to present a five-part series that will examine the University of Virginia within the context of the Civil War, and how its memory continues to echo into the present day. We are excited to host Caroline E. Janney, Professor of the American Civil War and Director of the John L. Nau Center for Civil War History, who will provide an introductory lecture into the effects of this divisive war on Jefferson’s growing University.
