Gearing up for Spring - Bikes & Bites Family Event

  • The Colonnade Club Hotel E, Garden Room - West Range, University of Virginia Charlottesville (map)

Join us for a Bikes & Bites event to Spring forward into the new season at Hotel E from 10am-12pm.

We are excited to welcome Peter Krebs who is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Piedmont Environmental Council and is working with the Charlottesville and Albemarle communities to plan and implement a network of trails and green ways. Peter received his Master’s Degree (Urban and Environmental Planning) from the University of Virginia School of Architecture in May, 2017.

Peter will be doing a talk on bicycle safety and safe riding in Charlottesville (within the infrastructure that currently exists) and will also communicate opportunities for Club members to participate in rides that he leads in the area.  He will also assist in a simple “bike check” for folks and kids who bring their bikes that morning….although not getting into on site repairs or mechanical remediation.

A light assortment of bites will begin at 10:00 AM, with the lecture to follow at 11:00 AM.

Registration Required: Colonnade Club Members are $8 to attend and free for Children; Tickets for the public are $12 each.
